Your order is saved immediately and appears in your pharmacy's queue. ScriptPad also:

* Assigns a reference number (`RX-YYMMDD-NNNN`)
* Calculates an estimated ready date based on urgency and your pharmacy's turnaround settings
* Sends a PDF to your pharmacy via fax and/or SFTP when those channels are configured

Use the confirmation dialog to **Copy reference**, **View order**, or **Start new**.

## Keyboard shortcuts

The compound catalog supports keyboard navigation — use arrow keys to move through items and Enter to expand or select.

<Tip>
  Check **Pharmacist Notes** before sending when your pharmacy has left guidance about a patient. Notes may include formulary preferences or clinical considerations.
