# Pharmacist notes

> Read and respond to notes from your pharmacy about your patients.

**Pharmacist Notes** surfaces guidance from your pharmacy team about your patients. Notes appear here and in the patient context panel while you build prescriptions.

## Note list

Notes are grouped by patient and order. Unread notes show a badge count on the **Pharmacist Notes** navigation item and on your home dashboard.

## Acknowledge or dismiss

For each note you can:

* **Acknowledge** — confirm you have read the note; it remains visible for reference
* **Dismiss** — remove the note from your active view when no further action is needed

Both actions are recorded with your name and timestamp for your pharmacy's audit trail.

## When notes appear in the builder

While configuring a prescription, relevant pharmacist notes for the selected patient appear in the patient context panel. Review them before sending to avoid callbacks and ensure your pharmacy has the context they need.

## Clinic-wide notes

Notes are scoped to your clinic. Prescribers at the same clinic can see notes intended for shared patients, so your pharmacy can communicate once rather than repeating guidance to every provider.

  If a note requires a conversation beyond a quick acknowledgment, use **Messages** to follow up with the pharmacy team directly.
