Conversations

Messages are organized by conversation — typically one thread per prescriber. Open a conversation to see the full history and reply.

When to use messages

Common use cases include:
  • Clarifying prescription details before compounding
  • Notifying a prescriber that an order is ready
  • Following up on patient-specific questions
  • Coordinating rush or custom requests

Notifications

New messages appear in the Messages sidebar item. Prescribers see corresponding notifications in their portal Messages page.
For patient-specific guidance that should persist across orders, use Pharmacist Notes instead of one-off messages. Notes stay attached to the patient record and surface in the prescriber’s builder.
